Muaither Sports Club’s first football team recorded their first victory of the 2026/2027 Jetur League season after defeating Al Rayyan Next Generation 5–1 in the second round of the competition at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Monday evening.
Al Rayyan Next Generation took an early lead through Mustafa Al Sayed in the third minute, before Muaither responded strongly and regained control of the match. Abdellah Raihani scored the equaliser in the 19th minute, before Mark Maroikos put Muaither ahead with the second goal in the 27th minute.
Mahamadou Balde extended the advantage by scoring the third goal in the 35th minute, sending Muaither into the half-time break with a 3–1 lead.
Muaither continued to dominate proceedings in the second half and strengthened their advantage when Mark Maroikos scored his second goal of the match in the 65th minute to make it 4–1.
Abdellah Raihani then completed the scoring in the 81st minute, registering his second goal of the match and Muaither’s fifth.
The team delivered a strong overall performance, showing excellent concentration and attacking efficiency throughout both halves. The players managed the different phases of the match effectively, capitalised on their opportunities, and maintained their advantage until the final whistle.
With this victory, Muaither collected their first three points of the Jetur League season, providing an important morale boost as the team looks to build momentum and achieve further positive results in the upcoming rounds.
