Muaither Sports Club’s first football team began its campaign in the 2026/2027 QSL Cup with a deserved 2–0 victory over Al Khor in the opening round of the competition.
Kahilan opened the scoring in the 20th minute after an excellent cross from Carlos found Marc , who finished successfully into the net to give Muaither the lead.
The team maintained its advantage with a disciplined and organized performance until the 83rd minute, when Eissa Al Najjar won a penalty after being fouled in a challenge that also resulted in an injury. He was unable to continue and was forced to leave the pitch.
Abdellah Raihani stepped up to take the resulting penalty and converted successfully, scoring Muaither’s second goal of the match.
Muaither remained in control until the final whistle, securing a clean-sheet victory and collecting their first win at the start of their QSL Cup campaign.
The victory gives the team a positive boost as they continue their preparations for the upcoming fixtures, with the aim of maintaining their positive results throughout the competition.
