Muaither Sports Club’s first football team continued its positive run in the Jettor League after securing a valuable 1–0 victory over Al Gharafa Union in their third-round encounter yesterday, giving Kahilan a second consecutive win.
The match was competitive and evenly contested, with Muaither looking from the outset to impose their style and create opportunities in front of the opposition goal. Ethihad Al Gharafa , meanwhile, remained well organised defensively, and the first half ended goalless.
In the second half, Kahilan increased the attacking pressure in search of the opening goal. The team continued to push until the final minutes, with the players showing great determination to secure all three points.
Just as the match appeared to be heading towards a draw, Spaniard Marc produced the decisive moment. He won possession and continued the attack with tremendous determination despite initially going to ground. He quickly got back to his feet, continued his run, broke through the opposition defence and fired a shot into the net, scoring a dramatic late winner that sparked celebrations among the Kahilan players and coaching staff.
Muaither held onto their lead until the final whistle to secure three valuable points and confirm their strong run of form with a second consecutive victory. The result reflected the fighting spirit, determination and resilience shown by the team until the very last moment.
Kahilan will now continue their Jettor League campaign with the ambition of maintaining their winning momentum and collecting more points in the upcoming rounds.
