Our first football team achieved a difficult victory over its counterpart, Mesaimeer Club, with one goal without a response, in a match that brought the two teams together this evening at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium at Al-Ahli Club, within the framework of the tenth round of the Second Division League competitions. With this victory, our team raised its score to 10 points in fifth place, while Mesaimeer’s score froze at 8 points in last place. The winning goal for our team was scored by Abdulaziz Adel in the 72nd minute.
The match started at a calm pace between the two teams, but our team imposed its superiority on the course of the game from the beginning, and the first threat came through Abdulaziz Adel, who almost opened the scoring with a dangerous header, which Mesaimeer’s goalkeeper brilliantly saved and turned into a corner kick, after a perfect cross from Munqidh Adi.
Our team continues its clear attempts to reach the lead goal, but it faces defensive cohesion from Mesaimeer, who in turn relies on counterattacks, but without posing any real threat to Majed Abdul Latif’s goal.
Our team is distinguished by its ability to quickly recover the ball when it is lost, in addition to its diverse offensive methods. From the flanks, Munqidh Adi and Fouad Hanfouk pose a source of danger with their movements and precise crosses, while the team relies on another method represented by penetrating from the depth through the movements of Mariano Vasquez and Abdulaziz Adel.
