Our first football team left the Second Division Cup competition despite its hard-fought victory over Mesaimeer Club in the sixth round with a clean goal scored by Talal Munir in the eighth minute of the match, as our team left the tournament despite obtaining 10 points in third place behind the two semi-finalists, Al-Bidaa Club and Al-Sailiya Club.

The match started relatively calmly, with our team having an advantage over the course of the match, looking to score an early goal and enter the atmosphere strongly, as our team had the first opportunity in the third minute from a header by Milan Obradovic that was saved by Mesaimeer’s goalkeeper to a corner kick.

In the 8th minute, our team succeeded in translating its advantage by scoring the first goal through Talal Munir, who received a cross pass from Anicet Ora to calmly put it into the net, announcing our team’s lead with the first goal.
Our team continued its attacks on Mesaimeer’s goal, where an opportunity arose through Anicet Ora who was completely alone in front of the goal and shot the ball powerfully but goalkeeper Abdul Aziz Mohammed saved it, and the opportunity to strengthen the score for our team was lost.

The first half ended with our team leading by one goal to none.
On the other hand, the second half started at a better pace than the first half, with real attempts by both our team who were seeking to strengthen the score, or Mesaimeer who were seeking to achieve the equalizer, but without any danger to either goalkeeper.
At the 66th minute, our team made three substitutions at once with Youssef Sabri Al Yahri leaving and Moaz Al Salmi entering, Nassim Bin Issa leaving and Saad Al Sawan entering, Talal Munir leaving and Abdul Rahman Mujahid entering, to activate the defensive-offensive midfield line.
Our team threatened Mesaimeer’s goal with a header by Mariano Vazquez after Anicet Ora’s cross, but it passed next to the post, then another opportunity for Saad Al Sawan who shot a powerful ball from inside the box that also passed next to the post for Abdul Aziz Mohammed.
Our team continued its attacks, and this time, Nasser Al-Enezi missed a one-on-one opportunity, as he strangely shot the ball outside the goal. The match ended with our team winning by one goal against Mesaimeer.
