Our first football team lost to Lusail Club by two goals to one, in a match held this evening at Al Khor Stadium, as part of the eleventh round of the Second Division League. With this result, our team’s balance froze at 10 points in sixth place behind Lusail Club, which has 15 points. Our team’s goal was scored by Nassim Ben Issa in the 22nd minute of the first half.
The match started strongly between the two teams, with promising offensive attempts, especially from our team, which sought to open the scoring, but without anything new.
Our team continued its attacks and threatened Lusail’s goal through Amjad Salah, who penetrated the penalty area and shot a ball that hit the foot of one of Lusail’s defenders and turned into a corner kick.
Our team intensified its pressure on Lusail players, trying to impose maximum control and create scoring opportunities, whether from the depth through Nassim Ben Issa and Mariano Vazquez, or from the flanks thanks to the movements of Ora, Munqidh Mohammed, and Amjad Salah, but without anything new.
The continuous pressure from our team resulted in scoring the first goal in the 22nd minute, when Nassim Ben Issa received a perfect cross from Anicet Ora and put it into the net, so our team took the lead with one goal to none against Lusail.
Lusail managed to equalize through Linio Bastos in the 41st minute, who fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al Ali failed to stop, taking advantage of our team’s players retreating backwards, so the score became a goal for each team.
Attempts continued from both teams to strengthen the score with a second goal, but the attempts failed, and as a result the referee blew his whistle at the end of the first half with a positive tie, one goal for each team.

Then they made two additional substitutions in the 64th minute, as Nassim Ben Issa left and Youssef Sabri Al-Yahri entered, and Saad Al-Sawwan left to be replaced by Oliver White, with the aim of activating the attacking midfield.
